Hunter'S Country House, Harkerville

My stay at the hotel was absolutely lovely and perfect for a family with kids. The rooms were on the smaller side but very comfortable with gorgeous surroundings and lovely touches throughout the stay; it was a fantastic surprise.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, with our own private pool, nestled in the stunningly beautiful gardens, were average for the money but could be better. Smoking in and directly outside of the room, though, was convenient for us. The service, especially with the helpful and polite staff during our 3rd visit, was exceptional. The location, just across the road from the Knysna Elephant Sanctuary, was nice and spacious but could benefit from clearer signage. The dining experience, with fantastic food served in various areas, exceeded our expectations. Overall, a decent stay with some areas that could be improved.

The hotel had lovely and spacious rooms with many nice touches throughout our stay, although a bit more space for luggage would have been ideal. The service was exceptionally friendly and went beyond our expectations. The location is charming, despite lacking clear signage for guidance. The dining experience was amazing, offering a plentiful buffet and prompt service. Overall, a great stay with a few minor areas for improvement.
